Description
A pre-blended combination of Vitamin A (Retinyl Acetate or Palmitate) and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) at defined ratios for animal feed and clinical nutrition applications. Eliminates separate dosing of the two fat-soluble vitamins where both are required.
Pale yellow to amber oily liquid (oil concentrate) or free-flowing powder (spray-dried beadlets). Available at multiple potency ratios matching specific animal feed and clinical-nutrition requirements.
We supply feed-grade and pharmaceutical-grade Vitamin AD3 from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.
Common market grades include AD3 1000/200 (1 million IU/g A, 200,000 IU/g D3, the dominant feed grade), AD3 500/100 (500,000/100,000 IU/g powder for premix manufacturing), AD3 500/250 Oil (premium feed-grade ratio), and Custom Ratio Blends produced to customer specification.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering Vitamin A potency, Vitamin D3 potency, peroxide value, heavy metals, and microbiology.
Introduction
Vitamin AD3 combinations have been used commercially since the 1950s as a convenient way to deliver both fat-soluble vitamins in a single ingredient. The ratio is typically 5:1 (A to D3 in IU), reflecting the relative dietary requirements in poultry and swine nutrition.
Industrial production blends Vitamin A oil and Vitamin D3 oil at the target potency ratio under controlled antioxidant protection, then either supplies as oil or spray-dries with carrier (typically gelatin or modified starch) to yield free-flowing powder.
Regulatory status follows the parent vitamins: Vitamin A regulated as a permitted food ingredient by the U.S. FDA and EU; Vitamin D3 likewise. Both are listed in major pharmacopoeias.
The combined format addresses formulation convenience rather than nutritional necessity: any AD3 blend can be reproduced by dosing separate Vitamin A and Vitamin D3 ingredients. The pre-blended format eliminates one step in feed-mill manufacturing and reduces the risk of dosing errors.
Strategic positioning is dominated by animal feed and premix manufacturing, where the combination simplifies recipe management.
Where it is used
- Animal feed: poultry, swine, aquaculture, and dairy fortification; the dominant single use of AD3 combinations
- Pet food: dog and cat food fortification
- Premix manufacturing for vitamin and mineral feed-fortification blends
- Pharmaceutical applications: AD3 combination drops for pediatric supplementation
- Clinical nutrition and parenteral nutrition formulas
- Fortified milk and dairy products in specific market formulations
- Veterinary pharmaceutical applications
