01 — Overview

Description

The spray-dried solid form of Glucose Syrup, also called Glucose Syrup Solids. Sits structurally between Maltodextrin (DE under 20) and Dextrose (DE near 100), with commercial grades typically DE 20 to DE 40.

White to cream free-flowing powder. Slightly sweeter than Maltodextrin, freely water-soluble, and used wherever a powdered glucose carbohydrate is preferred over liquid syrup for handling and shelf-stability reasons.

We supply food-grade Glucose Syrup Dry from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.

Common market grades are differentiated by DE: DE 20 to 25 (low-sweetness bulking applications), DE 25 to 30 (the dominant nutrition-and-confectionery grade), and DE 30 to 40 (higher-sweetness applications approaching High-DE Maltodextrin).

Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering DE, dry substance, pH, sulfated ash, and microbiology.

02 — Background

Introduction

Glucose Syrup Dry is produced by spray-drying liquid Glucose Syrup of defined DE, yielding a free-flowing powder that is otherwise compositionally identical to the liquid precursor.

Commercial production passes the liquid syrup through a high-pressure atomizing nozzle into a heated chamber, where water evaporates within seconds to produce uniform spherical particles. Final moisture content typically reaches below 5 percent, sufficient for shelf stability without refrigeration.

Recognized as a permitted food ingredient by the U.S. FDA, the European Food Safety Authority, and equivalent regulators worldwide.

Caloric value is 4 kcal per gram, identical to sucrose and other digestible carbohydrates. The glycemic response approximates that of the parent liquid Glucose Syrup at the same DE.

The product occupies the gap between Maltodextrin and crystalline Dextrose: it offers more sweetness and higher solubility than Maltodextrin while remaining a powder that handles, stores, and meters more easily than liquid Glucose Syrup. This makes it the default carbohydrate bulking agent for sports nutrition, dry beverage mixes, and direct-compression pharmaceutical applications.
