01 — Overview

Description

The full series of Vitamin E grades, covering both synthetic (DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate) and natural (D-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, mixed tocopherols) source variants, and oil and powder physical formats. The portfolio listing for buyers sourcing multiple Vitamin E grades from the same manufacturer.

Format depends on grade: pale yellow to amber oily liquid (oil concentrates) or white to pale yellow free-flowing powder (spray-dried 50 percent on carrier).

We supply food-grade, feed-grade, and pharmaceutical-grade Vitamin E from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.

Series grades include DL-alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate Oil (synthetic, the dominant feed-grade and food-fortification form), D-alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate Oil (natural-source, premium supplement grade), Mixed Tocopherols (natural antioxidant blend for food preservation), Vitamin E 50% Powder (spray-dried for dry premixes), DL-alpha-Tocopherol free acid oil (the non-esterified form for cosmetic antioxidant use), and Pharmaceutical Grade variants meeting BP/USP/EP/JP specifications.

Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering assay, specific rotation (distinguishing natural d from synthetic dl), peroxide value, heavy metals, and microbiology.

02 — Background

Introduction

The Vitamin E Series groups the available source variants (synthetic DL and natural D forms) and physical formats (oil and 50 percent powder) under one product family. The Series structure is used because Vitamin E buyers in supplement, food, and feed applications often source multiple variants from the same manufacturer and benefit from coordinated supply.

Vitamin E was discovered in 1922 during fertility studies in rats and chemically characterized as alpha-tocopherol in 1936. The vitamin exists naturally as eight related compounds (four tocopherols and four tocotrienols), with alpha-tocopherol being the most biologically active and the dominant commercial form.

Industrial production splits between two routes: synthetic chemical synthesis from isophytol and trimethylhydroquinone, yielding DL-alpha-tocopherol (a mixture of eight stereoisomers); and natural extraction from soybean and sunflower oil distillates, yielding D-alpha-tocopherol with the natural stereochemistry. Both routes feed acetate-esterification to produce the stable tocopheryl acetate forms.

Listed in BP, USP, EP, and JP pharmacopoeias under separate Tocopherol, Tocopheryl Acetate, and Mixed Tocopherols monographs. Recognized as a permitted food ingredient by the U.S. FDA and the European Food Safety Authority.

Strategic positioning splits between feed nutrition (highest volume, DL-acetate form), human supplements (highest unit value, growing preference for natural D-form), cosmetic skincare (substantial volumes with both forms), and food antioxidant applications (Mixed Tocopherols form).
