Description
The unsaturated isomer family of Vitamin E, distinct from the dominant commercial tocopherol forms by having three double bonds in the isoprenoid tail. Provides cellular antioxidant, lipid-modulation, and neurological-support activity beyond the alpha-tocopherol vitamin profile.
Pale yellow to amber oily liquid (oil concentrate) or free-flowing powder (spray-dried beadlets). Light- and oxidation-sensitive; requires antioxidant stabilization and sealed, light-protective packaging.
We supply supplement-grade Tocotrienols from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production. Material is sourced primarily from annatto, palm, and rice bran feedstocks.
Common market grades include Annatto Tocotrienols (delta- and gamma-tocotrienol concentrate, free of tocopherols, the premium form), Palm Tocotrienol Complex (full-spectrum tocotrienol blend with alpha-tocopherol), Rice Bran Tocotrienol Complex, and Tocotrienol 50 percent Powder (spray-dried beadlets for dry fortification).
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering tocotrienol profile (alpha, beta, gamma, delta), tocopherol content, peroxide value, heavy metals, and microbiology.
Introduction
Tocotrienols are the unsaturated isomers of the Vitamin E family, distinct from the more abundant tocopherols by having three double bonds in the side chain. The four tocotrienol isomers (alpha, beta, gamma, delta) provide vitamin E activity plus additional biological effects on cholesterol metabolism, cellular signaling, and neuroprotection that the tocopherols do not exhibit.
Industrial production proceeds by extraction and concentration from natural feedstocks: annatto seeds (the only major source containing essentially only tocotrienols, no tocopherols), red palm oil, and rice bran oil. The crude tocotrienol-rich fraction is purified by molecular distillation to commercial specifications.
Approved as a Generally Recognized as Safe ingredient by the U.S. FDA and as a permitted Vitamin E source by EFSA and equivalent regulators worldwide. Annatto-derived tocotrienol products have received self-affirmed GRAS status with multiple FDA notifications.
Strategic positioning is the premium supplement and cosmetic segment, where the differentiation from conventional alpha-tocopherol Vitamin E supports substantial price premium. The annatto-derived delta- and gamma-tocotrienol concentrate commands the highest unit pricing in the Vitamin E category.
Clinical research interest has focused on cardiovascular (LDL cholesterol modulation through HMG-CoA reductase suppression), neurological (stroke neuroprotection), and bone-health applications. Commercial positioning in these segments has grown with the supporting clinical literature since 2010.
