Description
The dry powder format of Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), supplied as cold-water-soluble (CWS) spray-dried beadlets. This is the format buyers select when they need a free-flowing powder for dry premix manufacturing, multivitamin tablet production, or fortified food applications rather than the oil concentrate or pure crystalline material.
Pale yellow to off-white free-flowing powder of uniform beadlet size. Disperses readily in water at room temperature. The gelatin-carbohydrate matrix encapsulates and stabilizes the cholecalciferol active, which is otherwise extremely oxidation-sensitive in its pure form.
We supply food-grade, feed-grade, and pharmaceutical-grade Vitamin D3 Powder from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.
Common market grades include Vitamin D3 100 CWS (100,000 IU/g, food fortification grade), 500 CWS (500,000 IU/g, the supplement and premix workhorse), 200 CWS for dairy fortification, and feed-grade variants for animal nutrition. Vegan D3 powder produced from lichen-derived 7-dehydrocholesterol is available for plant-based supplement applications.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering potency, particle size distribution, peroxide value, heavy metals, and microbiology.
Introduction
Vitamin D3 Powder addresses the practical problem that cholecalciferol is extremely oxidation-sensitive in its pure crystalline form and difficult to handle in oil concentrate, while many supplement and fortification applications require a free-flowing dry powder. The CWS spray-dried beadlet format solves both issues by encapsulating the active in a protective matrix.
Industrial production proceeds by first producing cholecalciferol through ultraviolet irradiation of 7-dehydrocholesterol (extracted from lanolin in standard production or from lichen for vegan grades), then emulsifying the oil concentrate with antioxidants in an aqueous gelatin-carbohydrate matrix and spray-drying the emulsion into uniform beadlets.
Listed in BP, USP, EP, and JP pharmacopoeias as Cholecalciferol. Recognized as a permitted food ingredient by the U.S. FDA and the European Food Safety Authority. The 100 and 500 CWS grades dominate the global supplement and premix market.
This SKU exists alongside the parent Vitamin D3 listing and the related Resin and Oil formats to allow buyers to order specifically against the powder format requirement. Supplement market growth since 2010 has made Vitamin D3 Powder one of the most rapidly expanding vitamin SKUs globally.
