01 — Overview

Description

The microcapsule-encapsulated format of 500,000 IU/g Vitamin A Palmitate with starch carrier and cold-water-soluble dispersion. Distinct from standard spray-dried format by an additional polymer-coating step that provides enhanced oxidation protection and slower release.

Yellow to brown free-flowing microcapsule powder. The polymer coating extends shelf stability and reduces Vitamin A losses during extended storage and processing.

We supply food-grade Vitamin A Palmitate 500 Microcapsule CWS/S from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.

Common market grades include Standard Microcapsule 500 CWS/S, Premium Microcapsule with tighter potency tolerances, and pre-blended Microcapsule systems with other vitamins for premix manufacturing.

Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering potency, particle size, encapsulation integrity, peroxide value, heavy metals, and microbiology.

02 — Background

Introduction

This SKU is the microcapsule-encapsulated format of Vitamin A Palmitate 500 CWS/S, distinct from the standard spray-dried format (catalog id 14651) by an additional polymer-coating step.

Production starts with standard 500 SD CWS/S spray-dried Vitamin A Palmitate, which is then coated with a polymer matrix (typically modified cellulose or methacrylate-based) through fluid-bed coating equipment. The resulting microcapsules have a more complete moisture and oxygen barrier than uncoated spray-dried beadlets.

Regulatory status follows that of standard Vitamin A Palmitate (GRAS in the U.S., approved globally).

The microcapsule format addresses a specific shelf-life limitation: standard spray-dried Vitamin A loses approximately 10 to 25 percent potency over 12 months at ambient storage; microcapsule format limits the same period loss to 5 to 10 percent. This is meaningful for fortified products with 18 to 24 month shelf life.

Strategic positioning serves premium fortified-food applications where extended shelf-life claims require minimized vitamin losses during finished-product distribution and retail shelf time. Cost is meaningfully higher than standard spray-dried format, limiting use to premium applications.
