Description
Refined beeswax processed from raw apiary wax through filtration, decolorization, and decontamination, yielding a clean uniform wax suitable for food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical applications. Standard grade between unrefined raw wax and the fully bleached pharmaceutical grades.
Light yellow to amber wax in pellet, slab, or block form. Characteristic mild honey aroma. Melting range approximately 62 to 65 °C.
We supply Refined Bee Wax from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production. Organic and contaminant-tested grades available on request.
Common market grades include Refined Yellow Beeswax (Cera Flava) for general food and cosmetic use, Filtered Cosmetic-Grade Beeswax, and Pharmacopoeial Grade conforming to USP, EP, or JP specifications. Distinct from fully bleached White Beeswax (separate listing).
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering acid value, ester value, saponification value, melting point, and microbiology.
Introduction
Beeswax is secreted by worker honeybees and used as the structural material of the hive comb. After honey extraction, the wax is melted from the comb, filtered, and refined to commercial grades that vary by intended end use.
Refining of beeswax involves filtration through clay or activated carbon to remove particulates, color, and residual honey, optional steam stripping to remove volatile contaminants, and standardization to a defined acid value, ester value, and melting point. Pharmaceutical grades undergo additional bleaching to remove residual color and pigments.
Regulated as E901 in the EU when used as a food additive, recognized as Generally Recognized as Safe by the U.S. FDA, and listed in USP, EP, JP, and BP pharmacopoeias as Cera Flava (yellow refined) or Cera Alba (white bleached).
The refined yellow grade is the workhorse beeswax of food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical manufacture, balancing cost and purity. Where color neutrality is critical, the fully bleached white grade is specified instead.
