Description
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) royal jelly powder produced from fresh royal jelly with no carrier addition. Preserves the labile protein, lipid, and 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA) content far better than spray drying, supporting premium dietary supplement positioning.
Off-white to pale yellow free-flowing powder. Mildly sour and astringent flavor characteristic of royal jelly. Reconstitutes to approximately one-third the original fresh-jelly volume.
We supply Lyophilized Royal Jelly Powder from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production. Bulk traceability to apiary source is available on request.
Common market grades are differentiated by 10-HDA content: Standard Royal Jelly Powder (4.0% min 10-HDA), Premium Royal Jelly Powder (5.0% min 10-HDA), and Super-Premium (6.0% min 10-HDA) for high-end nutraceutical and cosmetic use.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering 10-HDA content, protein, moisture, sugars, and microbiology.
Introduction
Royal jelly is the secretion of nurse honeybees used to feed queen larvae and the queen throughout her life. The unique compound 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA) is found only in royal jelly and serves as the industry marker for royal jelly authenticity and quality.
Production begins with fresh royal jelly collected from beekeeping operations. The fresh jelly is rapidly frozen, then lyophilized under vacuum at low temperature to remove approximately 67 percent water content while preserving heat-labile proteins, lipids, vitamins, and 10-HDA.
Royal jelly is recognized as a food and dietary supplement ingredient in most jurisdictions. The EU has assigned an allergen warning for royal jelly due to rare anaphylaxis cases. China and several Asian markets recognize royal jelly as a traditional functional food.
The lyophilized form is preferred over spray-dried royal jelly powder because the latter degrades a significant fraction of the heat-sensitive bioactive constituents. For dietary supplement and cosmetic formulators selling on 10-HDA potency or full-spectrum bioactive content, lyophilized powder is the gold-standard format.
