01 — Overview

Description

Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, the hydrochloride salt of Vitamin B6 and the dominant commercial form of the vitamin in pharmaceutical and supplement use. The same active as the broader Vitamin B6 SKU but listed and traded under the chemical name for buyers ordering against pharmacopoeial monographs directly.

White to almost white crystalline powder. Freely water-soluble (1 g in 5 mL water). Stable under normal storage in sealed packaging.

We supply food-grade, feed-grade, and pharmaceutical-grade Pyridoxine HCl from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.

Common market grades include Pharmaceutical Grade meeting BP/USP/EP/JP monographs (the dominant form, typically ordered against the chemical name), Food Grade compliant with FCC, Feed Grade for animal nutrition premixes, and DC (direct-compression) grade for solid-dosage manufacturing.

Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering assay, loss on drying, residue on ignition, chloride content, heavy metals, and microbiology.

02 — Background

Introduction

Pyridoxine Hydrochloride is the chemical name under which Vitamin B6 is most commonly traded in the bulk pharmaceutical and food ingredient market. The HCl salt is preferred over the free base because it provides better stability, easier crystallization, and full water solubility.

Industrial production proceeds by chemical synthesis from cyanoacetamide through a multi-step pathway yielding pyridoxine free base, which is then converted to the hydrochloride salt for crystallization.

Listed in BP, USP, EP, and JP pharmacopoeias under the Pyridoxine Hydrochloride monograph. Recognized as a permitted food ingredient by the U.S. FDA and the European Food Safety Authority. In the body the salt dissociates and is rapidly phosphorylated to pyridoxal 5'-phosphate, the active coenzyme form.

This SKU exists alongside the broader Vitamin B6 listing to serve pharmaceutical and pharmacopoeial buyers who order specifically against the Pyridoxine HCl monograph rather than the generic vitamin description. Nutritional content and applications are identical to the Vitamin B6 SKU.
