01 — Overview

Description

Refined, bleached, and deodorized (RBD) oil from the flesh of the avocado fruit (Persea americana). High smoke point of 250 to 270 degrees Celsius and oleic acid content of 50 to 70 percent make it valued for cooking, salad, and cosmetic applications.

Pale yellow to light green clear liquid. The refined grade is nearly odorless, in contrast to the green-pigmented, characteristic-aroma virgin grade.

We supply Refined Avocado Oil from manufacturers in China with cross-border sourcing from Mexico, Peru, and Kenya, holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.

Common market grades include cold-pressed extra virgin (separately classified), and RBD refined grades for high-heat cooking and cosmetic carrier oil use.

Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering fatty-acid composition, acid value, peroxide value, heavy metals, and microbiology.

02 — Background

Introduction

Avocado oil is produced from the fleshy mesocarp of the avocado fruit, not from the seed. Cold-pressed virgin and RBD grades differ substantially in flavor, color, and smoke point: virgin oil retains chlorophyll and antioxidants but has a lower smoke point (200 to 220 degrees Celsius), while RBD grades reach 250 to 270 degrees Celsius.

Mexico is the dominant producer of both avocados and avocado oil, with Peru as a fast-growing alternative source. Kenya and South Africa supply the European market with shorter trans-shipment times.

The fatty-acid profile is similar to olive oil, dominated by oleic acid with smaller amounts of linoleic, palmitic, and palmitoleic acids. The high oleic content supports cardiovascular health positioning in premium cooking-oil categories.

Adulteration with soybean and sunflower oils is a known issue in the avocado oil market, particularly in supermarket-grade products. Reputable suppliers verify authenticity with stable-isotope and fatty-acid analysis.
