Description
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) royal jelly powder standardized to 6 percent 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA), the principal bioactive marker for premium royal jelly products. Produced from fresh royal jelly harvested from queen-cell rearing operations.
Pale yellow to cream-colored fine powder with the characteristic sharp, slightly acidic, slightly fermented aroma of royal jelly. Hygroscopic and stored under cool conditions to preserve the bioactive profile.
We supply food-grade and supplement-grade Royal Jelly Powder from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher, GMP and other certifications relevant to the product and production.
Common market grades include 3% 10-HDA (entry-level), 6% 10-HDA (the premium standard for nutraceutical use), and customer-specified concentrations with associated standardization profiles.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering 10-HDA content by HPLC, moisture, protein, ash, microbiology, and heavy metals.
Introduction
Royal jelly is the proteinaceous secretion of the hypopharyngeal and mandibular glands of nurse honeybees, fed exclusively to queen larvae and adult queens. The combination of nutrition and royal jelly bioactives is the developmental signal that differentiates queens from workers despite identical genetics.
Commercial royal jelly is harvested from queen-cell rearing operations in which colonies are induced to produce excess royal jelly that can be removed without disrupting normal hive function. Chinese production accounts for the majority of global supply.
Fresh royal jelly is a viscous milky substance with limited shelf life requiring cold-chain handling. Lyophilization converts the fresh material to a stable dry powder with multi-year shelf life under proper storage, with concentration ratios of approximately 3:1 from fresh to powder.
The 10-HDA marker is unique to royal jelly and is the universally accepted reference for quality grading. Premium specifications at 6 percent 10-HDA correspond to fresh royal jelly meeting traditional Japanese and Chinese quality standards.
Royal jelly proteins include the major royal jelly proteins (MRJP family), which together with 10-HDA are the principal candidates for the documented biological activities of the material.
