01 — Overview

Description

Cold-pressed oil from macadamia nut kernels, distinguished by exceptionally high oleic acid content (55 to 67 percent) and the highest palmitoleic acid (omega-7) content among commercial nut oils at 16 to 23 percent.

Pale yellow clear liquid with a mild buttery aroma. High smoke point of 210 to 230 degrees Celsius supports cooking applications.

We supply Macadamia Nut Oil from manufacturers in China with cross-border sourcing from Australia (the species' origin), Hawaii, and South Africa, holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.

Common market grades include cold-pressed virgin (premium culinary and cosmetic), RBD refined for high-heat cooking, and organic-certified material.

Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering fatty-acid composition (palmitoleic content as authenticity marker), acid value, peroxide value, and microbiology.

02 — Background

Introduction

Macadamia is native to the rainforests of eastern Australia, where two species (M. integrifolia and M. tetraphylla) were domesticated by indigenous Australians and developed into a major commercial nut crop in the late 19th and 20th centuries. Hawaii, South Africa, and Australia are the dominant producers.

The defining feature of macadamia oil is its palmitoleic acid (C16:1, omega-7) content, which is higher than any other commercial nut oil. Palmitoleic acid is also a normal component of human sebum, which has driven interest in macadamia oil as a particularly skin-compatible cosmetic carrier.

The high oleic content (55 to 67 percent) supports oxidative stability and cardiovascular health positioning in culinary applications. Smoke point of 210 to 230 degrees Celsius makes it suitable for high-heat cooking unlike many other nut oils.

Cosmetic applications are growing rapidly, particularly in anti-aging skincare where palmitoleic acid is positioned as a skin-barrier and youthful-sebum analog ingredient.
