Description
Cold-pressed oil from the seeds of industrial Cannabis sativa, distinguished from CBD oil by containing only trace cannabinoids. Notable for its balanced omega-3 to omega-6 fatty-acid ratio of approximately 1:3, including alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) at 17 to 25 percent and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) at 1 to 4 percent.
Green to dark green clear liquid with a characteristic nutty, grassy aroma.
We supply Hemp Seed Oil from manufacturers in China with cultivation in Heilongjiang and Yunnan provinces (the dominant Chinese hemp-growing regions), holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production. Material is tested below regulatory THC limits.
Common market grades include cold-pressed virgin (most common), refined grades for industrial and cosmetic applications, and organic-certified material.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering fatty-acid composition, THC content (verified below regulatory limits), acid value, peroxide value, and microbiology.
Introduction
Industrial hemp is the same botanical species as marijuana (Cannabis sativa) but bred for fiber and seed production rather than psychoactive compounds. THC content in hemp varieties is restricted by regulation, typically below 0.3 percent (U.S.) or 0.2 percent (EU). Hemp seed itself contains only trace cannabinoids.
The oil is one of few plant sources with a balanced omega-3 to omega-6 ratio close to the 1:3 ratio considered optimal for dietary fatty-acid balance. The gamma-linolenic acid content adds an additional omega-6 fatty acid relevant to skin and inflammation pathways.
China is among the world's largest producers of hemp seed and hemp oil, with cultivation legalized and managed under provincial programs in Heilongjiang and Yunnan. Export to North American and European markets has grown substantially in the post-2018 regulatory environment in the United States.
The oil is heat-sensitive due to high polyunsaturated content and is unsuitable for cooking above 160 degrees Celsius. Storage requires cool conditions and protection from light to maintain quality.
