01 — Overview

Description

Fine crystalline anhydrous D-glucose powder, the purest commercial form of glucose. Approximately 70 to 75 percent the sweetness of sucrose, fully fermentable, and rapidly assimilated.

White crystalline powder with high solubility and low moisture content. Free-flowing and non-caking under proper storage conditions, suitable for dry-blend and direct-compression applications.

We supply food-grade and pharmaceutical-grade Glucose Powder from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.

Common market grades include Anhydrous Crystalline (99.5% min) for pharmaceutical and clinical nutrition use, Fine Powder food grade for bakery and confectionery, and Direct-Compression grade for chewable tablet and effervescent applications.

Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering assay, specific rotation, moisture, sulfated ash, and microbiology.

02 — Background

Introduction

D-Glucose was first isolated in pure crystalline form by German chemist Andreas Marggraf in 1747 from raisins. Industrial production from starch hydrolysis was established in the nineteenth century and remains the basis of modern manufacture.

Production starts from corn, wheat, or tapioca starch. The starch is gelatinized and hydrolyzed with alpha-amylase and glucoamylase enzymes to produce a high-DE glucose syrup, which is then evaporated, crystallized, dried, and milled to fine powder. Modern enzymatic processes deliver pharmacopoeial-grade purity directly.

Regulated as a food sugar in all major jurisdictions without a numerical Acceptable Daily Intake limit, listed in USP, EP, JP, BP, and other pharmacopoeias as D-Glucose Anhydrous or Dextrose, and recognized worldwide as a Generally Recognized as Safe ingredient.

Industrial-scale glucose syrup and crystalline glucose underpin global sweetener and fermentation industries. The fine powder format remains essential where dry handling, direct compression, or rapid dissolution are required.

03 — Applications

Where it is used

  • Pharmaceutical chewable and effervescent tablets; direct-compression diluent and sweetener
  • Clinical and oral rehydration solutions; the medical glucose source
  • Sports nutrition powders and energy gels; rapid-assimilation carbohydrate source
  • Bakery products including cookies, cakes, and breakfast cereals; supports browning and yeast fermentation
  • Confectionery and candy manufacturing; controls crystallization in fudge and fondant
  • Brewing and fermentation feedstock; the standard carbohydrate source for industrial fermentation
  • Powdered drink mixes and instant beverages
  • Frozen desserts and ice cream; controls freezing point and texture
