Description
A spray-dried microencapsulated form of Conjugated Linoleic Acid, designed for dry blending into powdered nutrition products, instant beverage mixes, and tablet formulations where oil incorporation is impractical.
Off-white to pale yellow free-flowing powder. The CLA oil core is encapsulated in a carrier matrix of modified starch, maltodextrin, and gum acacia, with protection against oxidation and odor.
We supply food-grade CLA Powder from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.
Common market grades include CLA Powder 50% active, 60% active, and 75% active, with the higher-load grades typically requiring smaller particle size and tighter handling controls. Custom carrier systems including non-GMO maltodextrin and tapioca starch are available on request.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering CLA assay, isomer profile, particle size, moisture, and microbiology.
Introduction
Microencapsulation of CLA addresses two limitations of the free oil: handling difficulty in dry-blend manufacturing and oxidative degradation during shelf life. Spray-drying with carbohydrate carriers produces a stable powder that integrates cleanly into dry-mix processes.
The encapsulation matrix typically comprises modified starch (often octenyl succinic anhydride starch for emulsifying capacity), maltodextrin (for film formation), and gum acacia (for solubility), with antioxidants incorporated into the oil phase before atomization.
Active CLA loading ranges from 50 to 75 percent by mass, with 60 percent representing the commercial sweet spot between active concentration and powder stability.
Regulatory status mirrors that of CLA oil: novel food approval in the EU within specified intake limits, and GRAS classification in the United States for designated applications.
Shelf life in finished powder products is typically 18 to 24 months under appropriate storage conditions, substantially longer than equivalent oil formulations exposed to air.
