Description
A balanced soluble and insoluble dietary fiber produced from sugar beet pulp remaining after sucrose extraction. Approximately 70 percent total fiber with a 1:3 soluble-to-insoluble ratio.
Light tan to brown free-flowing powder with a mild characteristic aroma. Notable water-holding capacity at 5 to 7 grams water per gram fiber.
We supply food-grade Beet Pulp Fiber from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production. Produced from sugar beet (Beta vulgaris) grown across the Heilongjiang and Xinjiang sugar-producing regions.
Common market grades include standard food-grade powder, fine-mesh grades for bakery, and pet-food grade for companion animal nutrition.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering total fiber content, sugar residue, moisture, heavy metals, and microbiology.
Introduction
Beet pulp is the press cake remaining after sucrose extraction from sugar beets, traditionally used as animal feed and increasingly upcycled into food-grade dietary fiber. Sugar beet processing is well-established in China's Heilongjiang and Xinjiang sugar-producing zones.
The fiber composition reflects the cell-wall matrix of sugar beet: cellulose, hemicellulose (predominantly arabinan), pectin, and lignin in balanced proportions. The soluble fraction includes ferulic-acid-cross-linked pectin and provides modest prebiotic activity.
Sustainability and circular-economy positioning is a key marketing driver. Beet pulp fiber recovers nutritional value from a byproduct of sugar production, with strong appeal in clean-label and waste-reduction brand narratives.
Functional properties center on water-holding capacity in meat and bakery applications, where beet pulp fiber competes with apple fiber, citrus fiber, and bamboo fiber based on cost, color, and flavor profile.
