Description
A mixed soluble and insoluble dietary fiber produced from the bran fraction of oat kernels. Distinguished from refined oat beta-glucan-cosmetic-grade-oat" class="underline" style="color: var(--sage-deep); text-decoration-color: var(--sage-deep);">beta-glucan by retaining the full bran matrix including arabinoxylan, cellulose, and the soluble beta-glucan fraction in natural proportions.
Cream to pale tan free-flowing powder with a mild oat aroma. Total dietary fiber typically 18 to 24 percent, with beta-glucan content of 6 to 10 percent.
We supply food-grade Oat Bran Fiber from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production. Produced from oats grown across Inner Mongolia and Gansu, where dryland oat agriculture is well-established.
Common market grades include standard 18 percent fiber, enriched 24 percent fiber, and high-beta-glucan concentrated grades. Gluten-free certified material is available where appropriate processing isolation is in place.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering total fiber, beta-glucan content, protein, heavy metals, and microbiology.
Introduction
Oat bran fiber gained significant commercial attention following the 1997 U.S. FDA approval of a health claim linking 3 grams of oat beta-glucan daily to reduced risk of coronary heart disease. The EFSA approved a similar claim for the European market in 2011.
The clinical activity is driven primarily by the beta-glucan fraction, a soluble (1,3)(1,4)-beta-D-glucan that forms a viscous gel in the upper gastrointestinal tract and reduces cholesterol absorption and bile-acid reabsorption.
Oat bran fiber retains the full bran nutritional profile and therefore competes both with refined beta-glucan concentrates (cleaner ingredient but lower whole-grain positioning) and with whole oat flour (more familiar but lower fiber and beta-glucan density).
Gluten cross-contact is the principal labeling consideration. Dedicated gluten-free oat processing lines and supply chains in approved provinces support celiac-suitable product where required, with material tested below 20 ppm gluten.

- Functional bars and snacks marketed with heart-health positioning
- Plant-based milks and oat-milk fortification
- Yogurts and dairy products
- Meal-replacement shakes
- Soups and savory products as a texturizer
