Description
The 500,000 IU/g cold-water-soluble format of Vitamin A Palmitate with alginate" class="underline" style="color: var(--sage-deep); text-decoration-color: var(--sage-deep);">sodium alginate carrier ('A' designation), the premium variant of the CWS family. Alginate carrier provides better shelf stability and finished-product taste neutrality compared to starch carrier.
Yellow to brown free-flowing powder. The sodium alginate matrix is preferred for pharmaceutical and premium fortified-food applications where the additional cost of alginate over starch is justified by performance differences.
We supply food-grade Vitamin A Palmitate 500 CWS/A from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.
Common market grades include Standard 500 CWS/A, Premium 500 CWS/A with tighter potency tolerances, and pre-blended CWS/A systems for premix manufacturing.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering potency, particle size, water dispersion, peroxide value, heavy metals, and microbiology.
Introduction
This SKU is the sodium alginate carrier version of Vitamin A Palmitate 500 CWS, distinct from the starch-carrier variant (catalog id 14651) by carrier choice and resulting performance characteristics.
Production proceeds similarly to the starch-carrier variant, with sodium alginate replacing modified starch as the spray-drying matrix. Sodium alginate provides faster cold-water dispersion, slightly better shelf stability, and a more neutral finished-product taste in dairy applications.
Regulatory status follows that of standard Vitamin A Palmitate (GRAS in the U.S., approved globally). Sodium alginate is also regulated as a permitted food ingredient (E401).
The choice between starch ('/S') and alginate ('/A') carriers is application-driven: starch is the cost-effective workhorse; alginate provides better performance in premium applications where the price premium is justified.
Strategic positioning serves premium fortified-food and pharmaceutical applications. Cost is meaningfully higher than the starch-carrier variant due to the more expensive alginate carrier and additional processing steps required.
