Description
Pineapple (Ananas comosus) processed into uniform dice and chunks and freeze-dried to preserve the bright color, sweet-tart flavor, and tropical aroma of the fresh fruit.
Pale yellow to golden porous pieces with intense pineapple aroma and a sweet-tart concentrated flavor. The texture is crisp in dry applications and rehydrates rapidly in wet ones.
We supply food-grade Freeze-Dried Pineapple from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.
Common market formats include 6 to 10 mm dice, 10 to 15 mm chunks, ring slices, and powder ground from broken pieces. Smooth Cayenne and MD2 variety preferences are accommodated where supply permits.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering moisture, sugar content, acidity, and microbiology.
Introduction
Pineapple is among the top tropical fruits in international trade, with Costa Rica, the Philippines, Thailand, and Brazil leading export production. Freeze-drying creates a long-shelf-stable format that supports global supply chains and year-round availability.
The bromelain enzymes in fresh pineapple are largely inactivated during freeze-drying, eliminating the digestive enzyme issue that affects fresh pineapple in dairy and protein applications.
The natural acidity of pineapple supports flavor preservation through freeze-drying and contributes to the bright sweet-tart character of the finished product. Aroma compounds are well-preserved through the gentle process.
Pineapple is naturally high in vitamin C and manganese, and the freeze-dried format retains essentially full vitamin C content despite the long aerial exposure during drying.
