Introduction

Industrial production proceeds by hydroalcoholic extraction of dried fenugreek seeds, followed by purification and standardization to defined saponin content. Premium grades are further standardized to 4-hydroxyisoleucine, a non-protein amino acid implicated in glucose-metabolism effects.
