01 — Overview

Description

A high-purity flavonoid antioxidant also known as Taxifolin, principally extracted from Siberian larch (Larix sibirica) wood. Used in capillary-strengthening, hepatoprotective, and antioxidant dietary supplement and pharmaceutical applications. The compound is the dihydro form of quercetin with superior bioavailability and stability.

Off-white to pale yellow free-flowing powder. Limited water solubility; freely soluble in ethanol and dimethyl sulfoxide.

We supply food-grade and pharmaceutical-grade Dihydroquercetin from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.

Common market grades include 90 percent (standard supplement grade), 95 percent (premium grade), 98 percent (high-end grade), and 99 percent (pharmaceutical-grade isolated compound).

Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering dihydroquercetin content (HPLC), related substances, residual solvents, heavy metals, and microbiology.

02 — Background

Introduction

Dihydroquercetin (Taxifolin) is a flavanonol structurally related to quercetin but with two additional hydrogen atoms reducing the C2-C3 double bond. The compound was first isolated from Siberian larch wood in the 1950s and has been used commercially in Russia and the former Soviet Union for several decades.

Industrial production proceeds by extraction of Siberian larch (Larix sibirica or L. gmelinii) wood with hot water followed by hydroalcoholic refining, chromatographic purification, and crystallization to high purity. The Siberian larch source provides the highest natural concentration of dihydroquercetin among studied species.

Recognized as a permitted food ingredient by the U.S. FDA (GRAS), the European Food Safety Authority (Novel Food approval 2017 with specific conditions), and equivalent regulators worldwide.

The compound has superior bioavailability to standard quercetin and superior chemical stability against oxidation. Pharmacological characterization includes documented antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, and capillary-strengthening activities. Russian pharmaceutical applications include approved drugs for cardiovascular and microcirculation indications.

Strategic positioning targets premium antioxidant and capillary-support dietary supplements globally, with established pharmaceutical applications in select markets and growing premium cosmetic skincare applications.
