01 — Overview

Description

The standardized extract of Bacopa monnieri (Brahmi in Ayurvedic tradition), a small creeping herb used as a memory and cognitive tonic. Standardized to bacosides A and B content, the principal active triterpenoid saponins. Used in cognitive-support and memory-enhancement dietary supplements globally with one of the strongest clinical evidence bases among nootropic botanicals.

Light brown to dark brown free-flowing powder. Limited water solubility; freely soluble in alcohol and hydroalcoholic mixtures.

We supply food-grade Bacopa Extract from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.

Common market grades include 20 percent Bacosides (the standard supplement grade matching commission E specifications), 40 percent Bacosides (premium grade), 50 percent Bacosides (high-end concentrated grade), 55 percent Bacosides (the BacoMind-equivalent premium positioning), and 4:1 to 10:1 herb-to-extract ratios.

Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering bacosides content (HPLC), total saponins, residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbiology.

02 — Background

Introduction

Bacopa has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 3,000 years as a memory and learning tonic, classified as a medhya rasayana (intellect-promoting rejuvenative). The plant is one of the most extensively studied nootropic botanicals in modern clinical research.

Industrial production proceeds by ethanol or hydroalcoholic extraction of dried Bacopa aerial parts, followed by purification and standardization to defined bacosides content.

Recognized as a permitted food ingredient by the U.S. FDA, the European Food Safety Authority, and equivalent regulators worldwide.

Clinical evidence for Bacopa in cognitive function is among the most robust for any natural nootropic ingredient, with multiple randomized controlled trials showing memory and learning improvements at 300 to 450 mg of standardized extract per day after 8 to 12 weeks of supplementation. The effect onset is gradual, supporting positioning as a long-term cognitive tonic rather than acute nootropic.

Strategic positioning targets the cognitive-support and nootropic supplement segments, with premium positioning supported by the strong clinical evidence base and the cultural appeal of the Brahmi traditional Ayurvedic name.
