Description
A polyphenolic extract from unripe Apple fruit (Malus domestica), standardized to total polyphenols with characteristic procyanidin oligomers, phloridzin (an apple-specific dihydrochalcone), and chlorogenic acid as the principal active compounds. Unripe apples contain substantially higher polyphenol concentrations than ripe fruit and serve as the preferred industrial feedstock.
Light yellow to light brown free-flowing powder. Highly water-soluble.
We supply food-grade Apple Polyphenols Extract from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.
Common market grades include 50 percent Polyphenols (cost-effective baseline), 70 percent Polyphenols (standard supplement grade), 80 percent Polyphenols (premium grade), 90 percent Polyphenols (high-end concentrated grade), and Phloridzin 5 to 95 percent for specialized standardized applications.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering total polyphenols (UV), phloridzin content (HPLC), procyanidin content, residual solvents, heavy metals, and microbiology.
Introduction
Apple Polyphenols emerged commercially in Japan during the 1990s, where research on unripe-apple-derived polyphenols led to extensive consumer and pharmaceutical applications. The compound class has subsequently expanded internationally as a clean-label natural antioxidant and functional ingredient.
Industrial production proceeds by hot-water and ethanol extraction of unripe Apple fruit (typically harvested at the thinning stage of commercial orchards), followed by chromatographic purification and concentration to defined polyphenol content.
Recognized as a permitted food ingredient by the U.S. FDA (GRAS), the European Food Safety Authority, and equivalent regulators worldwide.
Clinical evidence supports applications in metabolic health (post-meal glucose response, body composition in overweight adults), allergic rhinitis symptom support, and skin photoprotection. Phloridzin specifically has been studied for hair-growth applications and is used in some cosmetic hair-care products.
Strategic positioning combines metabolic-health supplements, premium cosmetic skincare, and natural food antioxidant applications.
