Description
A high-purity phospholipid powder produced by acetone extraction of fluid soy lecithin to remove triglycerides, leaving a free-flowing concentrate of 95 percent or more acetone-insoluble matter.
Light yellow to tan free-flowing powder or granules. Phosphatidylcholine content is concentrated relative to fluid lecithin, supporting higher emulsifier efficiency per unit weight in finished formulations.
We supply food-grade Deoiled Soya Lecithin Powder from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.
Common market grades include standard 95 percent acetone-insolubles powder, granular forms for direct dosing in dry blends, and higher-PC fractionated grades for nutraceutical and liposome applications.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering acetone-insoluble matter, acid value, peroxide value, moisture, residual solvent, and microbiology.
Introduction
Deoiled lecithin powder was developed to address two limitations of fluid lecithin: it is sticky and difficult to dose in dry-blend operations, and its 35 percent oil content dilutes phospholipid activity per unit weight. Acetone extraction selectively removes the triglyceride fraction while leaving the phospholipids intact.
Production routes the fluid lecithin through controlled acetone washing, vacuum desolventization, and milling to the target particle size. Trace residual solvent is verified per food-grade limits before release.
Regulated as E322 in the EU, classified as Generally Recognized as Safe by the U.S. FDA, and approved by JECFA without a numerical Acceptable Daily Intake limit.
The concentrated phospholipid content allows finished-product formulators to use roughly one-third the weight of fluid lecithin for equivalent emulsification, which often pays for the price premium of the deoiled grade through reduced inclusion and easier handling.
Where it is used
- Instant cocoa, malted drink, and protein powder blends; primary wetting agent in dry-mix beverages
- Bakery premixes and dough conditioner systems; powder format simplifies dry blending
- Infant formula and follow-on milk powders; nutritional phospholipid source
- Chocolate and confectionery where powdered emulsifier handling is preferred over fluid lecithin
- Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical capsule fills and tablet excipients
- Sports nutrition powders, meal replacements, and gainer blends
- Pet food premixes and feed supplements as a concentrated phospholipid source
- Cosmetic dry blends and powder-form skincare formulations
- Liposome and lipid-nanocarrier production for advanced delivery systems
