Description
The standardized extract of Cnidium monnieri fruit (she chuang zi in Traditional Chinese Medicine), containing osthole as the principal active coumarin. Used in male-enhancement supplements, traditional medicine, and dermatological applications.
Light yellow to yellow-brown free-flowing powder. Limited water solubility; freely soluble in alcohol.
We supply food-grade Cnidium Monnieri Extract from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.
Common market grades include 10 percent Osthole (standard supplement grade), 30 percent Osthole (premium grade), 50 percent Osthole (high-end concentrated grade), and 98 percent Pure Osthole (pharmaceutical-grade isolated compound).
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering osthole content (HPLC), total coumarins, residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbiology.
Introduction
Cnidium monnieri has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 2,000 years for male sexual health, fungal skin conditions, and women's reproductive complaints. The plant is an annual umbellifer with characteristic small white flowers, native to China.
Industrial production proceeds by ethanol extraction of dried Cnidium fruit, followed by purification and standardization or crystallization to defined osthole content. High-purity osthole serves as a research-grade chemical and pharmaceutical-development feedstock.
Recognized as a permitted traditional medicine and food ingredient in China and most Asian markets; sold as a dietary supplement in the U.S. and several other markets.
Osthole has documented PDE5-inhibitory activity (the mechanism shared with sildenafil for erectile function) supporting the traditional male-enhancement positioning. Clinical evidence in humans remains limited but mechanism-based research is extensive.
Strategic positioning is dominated by male-enhancement and traditional medicine applications, with growing pharmaceutical research interest for the isolated osthole compound.
