Description
A standardized extract from American Ginseng root (Panax quinquefolius), standardized to total ginsenoside content. Used in cognitive-support, immune-support, and energy dietary supplements. American Ginseng is positioned as the cooling counterpart to the warming Asian Ginseng in traditional medicine frameworks.
Light yellow to light brown free-flowing powder. Highly water-soluble.
We supply food-grade American Ginseng Extract from manufacturers in China holding ISO, Halal, Kosher and other certifications relevant to the product and production.
Common market grades include 4 percent Ginsenosides (USP-style baseline), 10 percent Ginsenosides (standard supplement grade), 20 percent Ginsenosides (premium grade), and 30 percent Ginsenosides (high-end concentrated grade). Ratio extracts (10:1, 20:1) are also available.
Bulk and reduced-MOQ shipments. Batch-level COA covering total ginsenosides (UV and HPLC), individual ginsenoside profile, residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbiology.
Introduction
American Ginseng is native to the deciduous forests of eastern North America. The root has been used by indigenous North American peoples for centuries and was incorporated into Chinese medicine through the eighteenth-century fur trade. In traditional frameworks, American Ginseng is classified as cooling and yin-tonifying, distinct from the warming yang-tonifying Asian Ginseng.
Industrial production proceeds by hot-water or hydroalcoholic extraction of dried American Ginseng root (cultivated principally in Wisconsin, Ontario, and parts of China), followed by concentration, purification, and spray-drying to defined ginsenoside content. The ginsenoside profile differs from Asian Ginseng, with higher Rb1 and lower Rg1 content.
Recognized as a permitted food ingredient by the U.S. FDA, the European Food Safety Authority, and equivalent regulators. Ginseng holds extensive pharmacopoeial monograph status in USP, EP, and WHO.
Clinical evidence is most developed for cold and flu prevention (a randomized trial program using a proprietary American Ginseng extract is among the better-supported botanical-supplement clinical programs) and for postprandial glucose response in healthy and pre-diabetic adults.
Strategic positioning targets cognitive and immune-support dietary supplements with secondary applications in functional beverages and traditional medicine product formulations.
